Explore hidden and beautiful gardens and homes on the Norfolk coast at Thornham, Ringstead. Old Hunstanton, Holme-next-Sea, Sedgeford, Stanhoe and other villages on weekends in May, June, July & August 2025.
This is the quintessential English village experience. On certain weekends in June, July and August villages around the coast persuade their residents to open their gardens for all to see. This is often accompanied by anything from a flower festival in the village hall to a pop-up cream tea room, summer lunch amd even the occasional bouncy castle. Most villages supply a map and then you set off on a sort of treasure hunt of who has the most beautiful homes and gardens around. There is a usually a nominal £5 per person admission fee to all gardens which goes to charity
Whether you are a keen gardener, nosey neighbour or someone who likes to see places that you would never normally be able to get beyond the front gate then this can be a fun way to spend a few hours on a weekend. Do reach for your sun hat and go and explore some of the best hidden gardens on the Norfolk Coast.
