My Favourite walk is obviously Anna’s Walk, a pretty 5 mile circular walk around the village Thornham and then out to the sands of Holme Dunes. This is a beautiful part of the Norfolk Coast. Easy walking that should take no more than 2 hours but may take longer if you linger at any of the lovely places you pass along the way. The route also takes in Holme Dunes beach and again you also may decide to take in a bit more of one of England’s most wild and unspoilt beaches.
Anna’s walk takes in lovely countryside as well as salt marshes and one of Norfolk’s more remote sandy beaches at Holme Dunes. You will pass The Norfolk Wildlife Trust and cafe in the pine trees by the beach also see the Old Harbour at Thornham. The well-known and ancient taverns of the Lifeboat and Orange Tree are along the route as well as the Thornham Deli. Directions are from Anna’s House Boutique Bedrooms on the High Street at Thornham.
You can download A PDF of this walk with a simple trail route with turn by turn directions. Anna’s walk obviously originates and ends at Anna’s House on Thornham High Street but it is a circular walk so you can start anywhere you like. Although Anna would say that her walk really works best from her house!
