|A great way to start the weekend is to spend an hour at a farmers market so much more engaging than a visit to Tesco’s. On the first Saturday of every month and just a moment’s drive from Anna’s House at Thornham you will find one of Norfolk’s best Farmers market at Creake Abbey between Burnham Market and North Creake.|
Around 50 stall holders offer a bewildering array of local produce including meat, fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers in season, cheeses, cakes, pies, fudge, artisan breads, pickles, rapeseed oil, vinegars, preserves, local ales, juices and plants plus much more.
A number of exceptional pre-prepared dishes are on sale all made with local ingredients (and some exotic spices!).Recently recognised by Diana Henry in The Daily Telegraph as one of “Britain’s 20 finest Farmers’ Markets”. It opens at 9.30am so hopefully see you there next week!
The final market of 2021 will be the Creake Abbey Christmas Farmer’s Market on Saturday 18th December. Festive stalls, laden with Christmas treats will enable you to support local farmers and producers while stocking up for a fantastic celebration at home.
